Duet | Harry Seogwon Cho | 2:32 | President’s Media Award Nominee

A boy in a blank paper world, sits atop his tower alone. He idly illustrates a butterfly mid-air, which comes to life and flies away, leading his sights to a girl who paints on a watercolor tower. The painter sees the boy and decides to paint colors on the illustrated creature, which flies into the sky afterwards. Overjoyed, the two decide to collaborate, creating millions of butterflies that illuminate the sky into colors. After looking at the work they’ve created over time, the boy decides to step towards the girl and they meet face-to-face, transitioning them to live a life that compliments each other. They begin a new tower together, dancing in a duet within a renewed world.

An old man on his deathbed is waiting for his last moment in hospital quarters, accompanied by the nursing robot. The old man is reminiscent of his previous life as a pilot, and the robot learns to sympathize with the old man’s long forgotten passion. The robot comforts the old man in his final moment as they watch the sky align with airplanes.

A unicorn dealing with a tight film schedule doesn’t want to pretend to be the perfect magical creature anymore; instead she just wants to “horse around.”

When a ruthless logging machine monster invades Fairy Lake, resident tree saplings Ivy and Ash become endangered and must decide whether to stay and fight for the forest or leave their home.

After being tasked with recovering files from her ex-coworker’s work station, our heroine comes across a forgotten folder, left behind by said colleague. Driven by nosiness – or natural human curiosity, she realizes that there was more to their working relationship than she thought.

What would happen if we gradually started to lose what we call consciousness? Being aware and able to perceive the reality around us? Hazel and her neighbour Raleigh find themselves being haunted by mysterious creatures who apparently only want to feed off their being.

Zen | Yumeng Cai | 10:22

The film Zen uses nature’s components such as water, plants, and animals in an abstract form to deliver calmness to the audience. The idea of them being abstract matches the theme of Zen (a Buddhism terminology meaning a state of calmness); it is something people feel rather than see and understand directly.

A Chinese artist named Liu Fuchang who is professional at making handcraft with clay. The film describes his journey and how these beautiful sculptures have been made which also contains a strong affection for my traditional culture.

i see me watching speculates on the journey to and struggle with finding identity by presenting a first-person depiction of a singular self that has been split into two. The film displays the character’s ever-changing emotions as they follow an anonymous figure through unfamiliar surroundings, and gain awareness of the figure as an integral part of their being.

A man stumbles across a device that allows him to travel through time. He is given three chances. On his last, he is presented with a choice that could forever alter his life.

The Dress Up | Anistasiia Frolova | 5:57

The Dress Up follows a young adult facing a difficult decision of choosing a professional specialization. She uses a simulation game to explore a new realities, dimensions and imaginative worlds. Her fear goes away once she presses Play.

The documentary tells the story of an underground hip hop group, three young men from the north. As hip hop culture grows in China, some people succeed and have made money; Some people have not made it, still constantly struggling in the city…

Dummy | Liao Yi | 14:55

Dummy is a Black comedy short film. Newton decides to step out of his comfort zone and plans a heist with Hawking. They had never seen each other before; except they were chatting on anonymous website before. They encounter a strange dummy along the way, and Newton decides to take the dummy with them on their road adventure.
