Synopsis

This fun, light hearted and fast paced film follows the journey of a group of animals filming their tv show as a random glitch interferes with their production. Scrambling to finish and protect their sensitive data, they attempt various methods of evasion, but their problems just keep multiplying! The animals must choose between saving their film or saving themselves if they ever hope for the chaos to end…

Artist Statement

Artists are all familiar with failure as a part of the creative process, we wanted to exemplify that part of the artistic journey in our film. In our visual design we have tried to reflect the light hearted nature in which art came into our lives as children with fun colors, happy stories and blue skies but frame it in the confines of our reality. Working in the enclosed world which poses challenges and a lot of failures that we accept as part of the creative journey.

Shelly Litvak

Shelly Litvak is primarily a storytelling artist in visual media. Born in Israel, Shelly immigrated to Canada and is currently based in Vancouver, BC. Her work marries illustration and 3D in both static and motion pictures.

Alexandra Lyon

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Alexandra enjoys immersing herself in nature, crafting with her hands, and spending time with her feline best friend, Louis.

She hopes to pursue her artistic passion in filmmaking through lighting, rendering, compositing and editing.

The production process of “Take A Byte” has provided an eye-opening experience into the many possibilities of film making and animation, as well as the work ethic required to produce art we all can enjoy throughout the ages.
